Chapter 5: Surah Al-Ma’idah, The Table Spread

This magnificent chapter takes its title after an interesting story in which the Prophet Jesus asks God to send down a heavenly meal to him and his disciples. Surah Al-Ma’idah, The Table Spread is centred around the stories of the Prophets prior to the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). It also touches upon many other relevant and important modern day issues such as laws concerning contracts, dietary laws, communication with non-Muslims and the succession of the Prophet Mohammad. It is believed by scholars that this was the last chapter revealed onto the Prophet Mohammad. 

We will look at this chapter’s most important lessons and verses in just 10 minutes.
